Shop curated collections of crafts, textiles, jewelry, and gifts at our annual summer celebration event. All proceeds are shared between the makers and the Museum. Free event admission. Members save 10% on all purchases.

 

Crafts

  • Cuonga Ta
Stoneware ceramics for functional use, with attention to form and design. Cuong Ta is a modern renaissance man, a math teacher and ceramics artist based in Oakland, with degrees in Rhetoric and Public Policy.
  • Madge Candles
Hand poured in California, Madge Candles come in a wide array of scents and are made with quality ingredients. Maggie decided to create 100% essential oil candles, allowing her customers to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy.
  • Turning Leaf Handmade
A unique collection of beautiful vegetable and fruit parchment vessels and jewelry. Handmade by Margaret Dorfman in her Oakland studio, she finely slices fruit and vegetables for her functional artworks.

  • Carly Waters Designs
Luxurious and delicate gemstone jewelry inspired by Carly Waters’ love of the ocean, stones, and travel. Handmade in Los Angeles, each piece of jewelry is designed in Carmel-by-the sea, a small town in the heart of northern California.
  • Cute as a Button
Antique button jewelry, hair accessories, and one-of-a-kind upcycled fashions. Handmade in Pacifica, California, Pamela Wiston from Cute as a Button elegantly combines her love for jewelry, silversmith skills and her passion for buttons.
  • Sarah Richardson
Elegant sterling, 18K gold and platinum jewelry with ethically sourced gemstones. Inspired by nature and botanicals, Sarah Richardson crafts designer jewelry in her San Rafael, California studio that ranges from everyday simple to extraordinary.
  • Suga Jewelry
A mix of contemporary beaded and elegant, minimalistic jewelry pieces. Each piece of jewelry is designed and handcrafted with care by Suga Rocereto in San Francisco.

 

Textiles

  • Firdose Ahmad Jan
Sumptuous hand woven textiles by master weaver Firdose Ahmad Jan. Jan was born in Srinagar, Kashmir, to a family of shawl weavers who have been practicing this craft for centuries.
  • Kavita Painted Silks
Elegant hand painted, dyed, and screened silk scarves, wraps, and garments. Based in California, Kavita has fashioned gowns for the Queen of Malaysia and styled fabrics for Schumacher among other accolades. 
  • Spain in America
Unique hand-dyed one-of-a-kind kimonos, ponchos, scarves, and necklaces. For over 20 years, Martin Venzal, has been using his own unique mixture of natural dyes and color combinations to hand dye individual scarves in Laguna Beach, California on fabric that has been imported from Spain.
